Dr. T. Minh Trinh
Dr. Trinh is originally from Edmonton, Alberta. He did his undergraduate university studies at the University of Alberta and then moved on to the School of Optometry at the University of Waterloo. There, he spent four years studying optometry and gaining clinical skills.
Part of his studies also involved an externship at Ophthalmic Consultant Centres in Mississauga, a leading centre in the treatment of retinal diseases, glaucoma, and cataracts.
He also spent time at the Alberta Sports Vision Institute where sports-related visual functions were emphasized and trained.
In his free time, he enjoys playing and watching sports, cars, and spending time with his family.
Dr. Winnie W. Wong
Dr. Wong grew up in her hometown Markham!. She went to the University of Waterloo for undergraduate science studies and then continued on to the School of Optometry.
Her four year of optometric studies saw her make stops in Edmonton, Alberta at a high volume optometrist practice and also with the Canadian Centre for Advanced Eye Therapeutics, a clinical research centre focusing on retinal diseases and age-related macular degeneration.
Dr. Wong has also gone to Merida, Mexico with a team of optometrists to provide free eye care and spectacles to the Maya people. Few Maya would normally be able to afford vision care in their lifetime. She thoroughly enjoys caring for her patients’ visual health and seeing families grow at Heritage Eye Care.
In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family. She also enjoys eating.
Karen Chim
Dr. Karen Chim grew up in Toronto and remembers getting her first pair of glasses when she was seven years old. She attended the University of Waterloo and graduated with both Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Optometry degrees in 2000.
During her studies, Dr. Chim completed an externship in ocular health and therapeutics at Vision America in Birmingham, Alabama. She also volunteered at the Foundation of International Self-Help Medical Clinic in Kingston, Jamaica. She enjoys providing thorough eye care to the community with compassion and integrity. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, being in nature and trying out new creative hobbies.
